Takeoff Performance tool calculates takeoff performance parameters based on the aircraft Manufacturer’s performance algorithms (Manufacturer-provided SCAP modules), operator-specified policies, and applicable regulations. Advanced optimization techniques are used in order to maximize performance.


 

All Strongpilot performance calculations are based on FAA AC120-76A and EASA TGL No:36 requirements. Regulations are available in Strongpilot Download section.

Automatic Data transfer

Takeoff performance is designed to load data from virtual data bus automatically. Almost all pilot inputs are adjusted if EFF is available and flight is selected.

These are the data which are transferred from virtual data bus.

  • Aircraft Registration
  • Airport
  • Runway
  • Wind direction & Speed
  • OAT (Outside Air temperature)
  • QNH
  • TOW (Takeoff Weight)
  • MACTOW
  • MEL/CDL

Pilot still may override any data.

Data Disagree Check (Arinc 429 wiring available)

Flight manager checks calculated takeoff data and entered takeoff data to the FMC (Flight Management Computer) automatically. System gives popup message if any data differs. Arinc 429 wiring connection should be available for disagree check.

These are the data which will be checked for takeoff performance disagree condition.

  • Takeoff weight
  • Selected Flap/Config
  • Assumed temperature
  • V1, VR and V2
  • Tracked Data

Takeoff performance results are kept in memory for further research or investigate. These tracked data are sent to the dedicated server automatically when internet connection is available.

Database Updates

Takeoff performance tool uses three databases for calculation:

  • Manufacturer SCAP database
  • Company limits and parameters database
  • Airport & Obstacle database

All these databases are checked automatically for any updates. Automatic update check process starts when pilot login the system. Updated data are listed to inform pilot when requested.

Auto Derate Function

Auto Derate option allows to calculate minimum thrust for actual takeoff weight. Performance tool initially find minimum available derate and then makes calculation for assumed temperature if available.

Specifications

  • User friendly standardized module that is same for all aircraft types,
  • Check the consistency and validity of the pilot‘s input and constrain it,
  • Input runway shortening and input new obstacle data,
  • Cover MEL/CDL items, that effects take-off performance and check the user‘s input of MEL/CDL,
  • Provide Airport/runway/obstacle/EOSID database and periodically update for database,
    Intersection takeoff points,
  • Computation for optimum configuration/flap setting,
  • Computation for automatic lowest derate setting,
  • Computation for reduced thrust assumed temperature take-off,
  • Compute and display V1, VR, V2, VREF speeds, N1/EPR setting, flap/configuration setting, thrust level, assumed/flex temperature, acceleration height/altitude, limiting factors, stab trim, one engine-out special procedure (EOSID).
